So you've defined your fundraising cause, event or project and now all you need is a page that allows you to accept donations from all the wonderful people you know.
I recommend you create a page on Go Get Funding for a number of reasons which I'll go into in a minute.
But before that, it's useful to know that on Go Get Funding you don't get your own fundraising page. Instead, you create a fundraising project.
The word project adds a little more weight and rightly so, your fundraising campaign is a big deal.
On Go Get Funding, your project contains several elements. That includes a Progress tab to monitor visitors and donations visually, an Updates tab, Comments tab, Backers tab and Followers tab. Phew, that's quite a lot! But I guess having visibility on all these different aspects is a plus!
Now that you know where to create your fundraiser, you need to know what you page needs.
Go Get Funding provide loads of opportunities to engage with your potential donors and create credibility - use that.
If at all possible, add a video to your fundraiser and make sure your written pitch covers all the bases such as why you are raising money, the difference it will make to you and what you can offer donors in return (if applicable).
Add links to your social media profiles and include several pictures with good descriptions.
Once you have all of the above, you'll be fully primed to release your fundraiser to the world!
